The TN-5508A-8PoE Series is a set of EN 50155-compliant managed Ethernet switches designed for powering and connecting onboard railway and wayside equipment. Each unit offers 8 Fast Ethernet M12 ports with IEEE 802.3af/at PoE, delivering up to 30 W per port and a total of 120 W.
Built for railway resilience, the switches feature dual, isolated 24–110 VDC inputs, IP54-rated metal housings, and operate over a temperature range of -40 to 75°C. Certifications include EN 50155, EN 50121-4, IEC 60571, IEC 61373 vibration/shock, and EN 45545-2 fire safety.
Resiliency is supported by Turbo Ring/Chain (<20 ms recovery), as well as RSTP/MSTP for standards-based redundancy. Security features include IEEE 802.1X, TACACS+, RADIUS, HTTPS, SSH, and SNMPv3. Traffic management encompasses VLANs, QoS, IGMP snooping, and support for industrial protocols (EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, PROFINET).
The TN-5508A-8PoE Series is ideal for powering IP cameras, Wi-Fi access points, and VoIP phones in rolling stock and critical rail networks.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
