The TN-5518A-8PoE-2GTX-WV-CT-T is a conformal-coated PoE switch designed for high-reliability railway applications. It features 18 ports: 8 PoE Fast Ethernet ports (30 W per port, 240 W total), 2 Gigabit copper uplinks, and 8 Fast Ethernet ports.
Conformal coating protects against moisture, condensation, and corrosion, thereby extending the long-term reliability of the component. The switch supports dual redundant 24–110 VDC inputs, ensuring uninterrupted service. Its IP54-rated enclosure with M12 connectors withstands vibration and shock, while -40 to 75°C operation ensures deployment in harsh climates.
Certified to EN 50155, EN 50121-4, IEC 60571, IEC 61373, and EN 45545-2, it meets strict railway standards.
Resiliency features include Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain (<20 ms recovery time), as well as RSTP/MSTP. Security tools include IEEE 802.1X, TACACS+, RADIUS, ACLs, HTTPS, SSH, and SNMPv3. Traffic optimisation features include VLANs, QoS, IGMP snooping, and link aggregation.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
