The Moxa EDS-205A Series provides rugged, unmanaged Ethernet connectivity in a compact 5-port design with copper and fibre options. Available with all RJ45 copper ports or mixed fibre configurations, the series supports multi-mode SC, multi-mode ST, and single-mode SC fibre, enabling flexible integration of local devices and long-distance backbones.
Engineered for demanding environments, the switches feature IP30-rated aluminium housings with DIN-rail or optional wall mounting. They are certified for hazardous locations (Class I Div. 2, ATEX Zone 2), transportation networks (EN 50121-4, NEMA TS2, e-Mark), and maritime standards (DNV, GL, LR, ABS, NK), making them suitable for critical infrastructure.
The EDS-205A supports redundant dual 12/24/48 VDC power inputs with overload and reverse polarity protection. DIP switches provide simple control of broadcast storm protection, while 100% burn-in testing ensures reliability in the field. A wide range of approvals, together with shock, vibration, and free-fall resistance, confirms their suitability for harsh deployment scenarios.
Standard models operate from -10°C to +60°C, while -T wide-temperature variants extend the range to -40°C to +75°C for outdoor and extreme conditions. With an MTBF of over 3 million hours and a 5-year warranty, the EDS-205A Series is built for long-term, stable operation in automation, utilities, and transport networks.

RMA
In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
