The EDS-510A Series are 7+3G Gigabit managed switches tailored for high-availability industrial backbones. Each unit includes seven 10/100BaseT(X) ports plus up to three Gigabit interfaces (RJ-45 and/or SFP), allowing you to build a resilient Gigabit ring while reserving an extra Gigabit uplink. With Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain providing <20 ms recovery (up to 250 switches) and support for STP/RSTP/MSTP, the series safeguards uptime across demanding applications such as process control, shipbuilding, intelligent transport, and DCS.
Layer 2 features include IEEE 802.1Q/port-based VLAN, QoS (802.1p/1Q, ToS/DiffServ), IGMP snooping/GMRP, port trunking (LACP), bandwidth management, RMON, and LLDP. Industrial protocol support spans EtherNet/IP and Modbus TCP, with SNMPv1/v2c/v3 and MXstudio for centralised visibility. Secure operation is ensured with IEEE 802.1X, HTTPS/SSH, RADIUS, TACACS+, and Lock Port to restrict unauthorised access.
Hardware highlights include dual 24 VDC inputs (12–45 VDC operating range) with reverse polarity and over-current protection, alarm relay, and two digital inputs for event integration. The compact IP30 metal enclosure supports DIN-rail or wall mount, with standard (-10 to +60 °C) and wide-temp (-40 to +75 °C) models. Approvals cover UL 508, EN 60950, ATEX/Class I Div 2, EN 50121-4, NEMA TS2, and IEC shock/vibration.
With 8K MAC table, 256 IGMP groups, 1 Mbit buffer, 4 priority queues, and a 5-year warranty, EDS-510A switches provide scalable, secure Gigabit backbones for critical industrial networks.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
