The EDS-G4012-4GC-LV-T is the wide-temperature version of the LV model, supporting operation from -40 to 75°C. It provides 12 full Gigabit ports, with eight copper and four combo (RJ45/SFP) uplinks, ensuring flexible backbone or edge connectivity.
Dual 12/24/48 VDC power inputs provide redundancy to safeguard against supply failures. Housed in a rugged DIN-rail or wall-mountable IP40 enclosure, the switch is built for industrial resilience in outdoor or exposed environments.
Cybersecurity is embedded, with IEC 62443-4-1 and IEC 62443-4-2 compliance, as well as support for IEEE 802.1X, RADIUS/TACACS+, HTTPS, SSH, SNMPv3, and port/MAC security. Resiliency is achieved via Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain (<50 ms recovery at 250 switches) and RSTP/STP protocols.
Traffic management includes VLANs, QoS, IGMP snooping, and LACP link aggregation, supporting predictable and efficient communication. Operators can configure and monitor the switch using web, CLI, Telnet, MXstudio, or ABC-02 backup devices.
With wide-temperature resilience, redundant LV power, and full cybersecurity integration, the EDS-G4012-4GC-LV-T is an excellent choice for utility, transportation, and industrial Ethernet networks operating in harsh conditions.

Our customer was looking for ways to improve efficiency and reliability, and reduce operation costs and overheads for their manufacturing facility. The initial step in this transformation was to add additional monitoring and measurements to several areas of their facility to allow the collection of usage data from older machinery for analysis. The machinery to be analysed would be located in many areas of the complex, with some sitting in concrete outbuildings far from the source of the main network.
