The IMC-P21A-G2 Series is a range of industrial PoE+ Fast Ethernet-to-fibre media converters designed to connect 10/100BaseT(X) Ethernet devices to 100Base-FX fibre networks. Built for reliable industrial communication, the series is well suited to applications where copper Ethernet needs to be extended over fibre for improved distance, EMI immunity and stable communication between field devices and a control centre.
Each IMC-P21A-G2 converter includes one 10/100BaseT(X) RJ45 PoE port and one 100Base-FX fibre port, with multi-mode SC, multi-mode ST and single-mode SC model options available. The converters act as power source equipment, allowing compatible powered devices to receive both data and power through the Ethernet connection. Standard PoE+ output supports up to 30W, while high-power output supports up to 36W for more demanding industrial devices such as outdoor IP cameras with heaters or wipers, high-performance wireless access points and IP phones.
The series supports IEEE 802.3af PoE and IEEE 802.3at PoE+ standards, along with 10/100M auto-negotiation, auto-MDI/MDI-X and 1.5 kV magnetic isolation protection. Store-and-forward mode and pass-through mode are both supported, giving users flexibility depending on the network design. Additional functions such as PoE diagnostics and Link Fault Pass-through help simplify installation, monitoring and troubleshooting.
Designed for DIN-rail mounting, the IMC-P21A-G2 Series uses a compact metal housing measuring 90 x 73 x 20.3 mm. It supports redundant dual DC power inputs from 44 to 57 VDC, overload current protection and operation from -10°C to 60°C. With fibre transmission options up to 40 km on single-mode fibre, the series is a practical choice for industrial Ethernet, surveillance, transport, utilities and automation systems requiring PoE device power and fibre uplink connectivity.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
