The Moxa NPort 6450-2TX-G2-T combines secure 4 port RS-232/422/485 serial connectivity with extended environmental tolerance, making it ideal for harsh installations where you still want flexible Ethernet wiring. This wide temperature variant operates from -40 to 75 degrees C, supporting roadside cabinets, trackside systems, outdoor utility sites, and other locations where ambient temperatures can swing well beyond standard industrial norms.
This model provides three 10/100M RJ45 Ethernet ports, which can simplify cabinet wiring and support designs where extra network ports at the device server are useful. It is particularly well suited to distributed infrastructure, where multiple serial devices are clustered and you want to minimise additional switching hardware.
Security is a core requirement when connecting legacy serial devices to IP networks, and the NPort 6400-G2 platform is designed for that reality. The device supports encrypted serial data transmission using TLS and SSH, helping protect communications in secure operation modes. Secure Boot helps prevent unauthorised firmware from running, which is important for remote and long lived deployments. The wider series is IEC 62443-4-2 Security Level 2 certified, supporting projects that must meet defined cybersecurity standards.
The serial interface includes four DB9 ports with support for RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485, and baud rates up to 921.6 kbps including non-standard values. RS-485 deployment is simplified through software configurable termination and selectable pull high/low resistors, enabling quicker commissioning and fewer site visits.
For maintenance teams, one click log collection and application analysis helps diagnose issues quickly during both deployment and ongoing service. Power input is 12 to 48 VDC, and the enclosure supports practical installation methods including desktop, wall mounting, and DIN rail with an optional kit. This wide temperature variant is supplied without a power adapter in the box, making it suitable where power systems are already engineered as part of the installation.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
