The Moxa NPort 6450-G2-T is the wide temperature version of the secure 4 port RS-232/422/485 terminal server platform, engineered for harsher sites where standard operating ranges are not enough. If your serial equipment is installed in outdoor cabinets, trackside enclosures, roadside infrastructure, or unconditioned factory areas, the -40 to 75 degrees C rating makes this model a strong choice for reliable long term deployment. 

Functionally, it delivers the same secure serial connectivity advantages as the broader NPort 6400-G2 family. Secure operation modes support encrypted communications using TLS and SSH, helping protect serial data as it moves onto IP networks. Secure Boot adds a further layer of assurance by helping prevent unauthorised firmware from running on the device, which is important in critical infrastructure and remote installations where physical access is limited. The series is IEC 62443-4-2 Security Level 2 certified, supporting projects where security compliance is required. 

The NPort 6450-G2-T provides one 10/100M Ethernet port and four DB9 serial ports that support RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485. It supports baud rates up to 921.6 kbps (including non-standard values), so it can handle everything from legacy instrumentation to faster serial devices used in industrial automation and control. RS-485 installation is made easier with software configurable termination and selectable pull high/low resistor settings, helping improve bus stability and reduce time on site during commissioning. 

For maintainability, Moxa includes one click log collection and application analysis so engineers can identify issues quickly during deployment or service visits. Power input is 12 to 48 VDC and the unit supports practical mounting options including desktop, wall, and DIN rail with an optional kit.  Unlike the standard temperature models, this wide temperature variant is supplied without a power adapter in the box, so it is ideal where power is already engineered into the cabinet or system design.
