The 65M-2901-CT-T is a 32-channel digital output module for ioPAC 6500 Series 65M modular controller systems. It is designed for applications that need to control multiple 24 VDC output devices from an ioPAC 6500 Intelligent Integrated Node controller, such as relays, lamps, indicators, solenoids, alarms and other discrete field devices.
This module provides source-type digital outputs and supports digital output or pulse output mode, with channels 1 to 8 group configurable by software. The common power input voltage is 24 VDC, with an operating range of 19.2 to 28.8 VDC, and the module supports a maximum common power input current of 6.4 A. Load current is listed as 200 mA per channel typically and up to 500 mA per channel maximum. Pulse duration is specified at 500 microseconds, making the module useful for applications that require short output pulses as well as standard on/off control.
The 65M-2901-CT-T includes several protection and diagnostic functions to improve system reliability. These include output short-circuit protection, common power input over-voltage protection and inductive load shutdown voltage protection. Diagnostic functions include wire-break detection in both on and off states, output short-circuit detection, external power detection and failsafe configuration with hold-last or failsafe state options. These features are valuable in industrial systems where wiring faults, load faults or power issues need to be detected quickly.
As part of the ioPAC 6500 modular platform, the module supports tool-free hardware installation, hot-swap design and the error-proof arrow-pin concept when used with its matching terminal block. The compatible terminal block is 65M-TB-2901-CT-T, which is sold separately. With 0.068 A at 12 VDC system power consumption, conformal coating support and -40°C to 75°C operation, the 65M-2901-CT-T is well suited to rugged digital output control applications.
