The 65M-5801-CT-T is an 8-port serial module for ioPAC 6500 Series 65M modular controller systems. It is designed for applications that need to connect multiple serial devices to an ioPAC 6500 Intelligent Integrated Node controller, making it suitable for industrial automation, utility monitoring, transport systems, remote terminal units, serial gateway applications and legacy equipment integration.
This module supports RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485-2w serial standards, giving users flexibility when connecting different types of field devices. Supported baud rates include 300, 600, 1200, 1800, 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200, 38400, 57600 and 115200 bps. Data bit options include 7 and 8, with 1 or 2 stop bits and none, even or odd parity. Flow control options include RTS/CTS and XON/XOFF, supporting a wide range of serial communication requirements.
Signal support includes TxD, RxD, RTS, CTS and GND for RS-232, Tx+, Tx-, Rx+, Rx- and GND for RS-422, and Data+, Data- and GND for RS-485-2w. This makes the 65M-5801-CT-T useful for connecting PLCs, meters, remote devices, serial sensors, RTUs, controllers and other equipment that still relies on serial communication. The module includes 3 kVDC isolation between signal and system and 1 kVDC isolation between groups, helping protect the controller platform in industrial electrical environments.
The 65M-5801-CT-T is part of the modular ioPAC 6500 architecture and supports tool-free hardware installation, hot-swap serviceability and error-proof arrow-pin matching with its terminal block. The matching terminal block is 65M-TB-5801-CT-T, which is sold separately.
With system power consumption of 0.143 A at 12 VDC, field power consumption of 0.11 A at 24 VDC, conformal coating support, plastic housing, -40°C to 75°C operation and a 5-year warranty period listed in the datasheet, the 65M-5801-CT-T is a robust serial expansion option for modular industrial control systems.
