The 65M-3800H-CT-T is an 8-channel HART analogue input module for ioPAC 6500 Series 65M modular controller systems. It is designed for applications that need to acquire 4 to 20 mA analogue signals while also supporting HART-enabled field devices. This makes it suitable for process automation, remote terminal units, utilities, energy, water, wastewater, infrastructure and industrial monitoring systems where smart instrumentation is used.
This model supports 8 HART analogue input channels, with 4 to 20 mA input range and selectable HART enable or disable mode, with disable listed as the default. The module uses differential analogue inputs, 16-bit converter resolution and 1.6 microamp measurement resolution for 4 to 20 mA signals. Accuracy is listed as ±0.1% full scale range at 25°C and ±0.3% full scale range across -40°C to 75°C, allowing it to support reliable signal acquisition in demanding environments.
The 65M-3800H-CT-T permits 30 mA overload on inputs and uses 250 ohm input impedance. It includes internal loop power support for 2-wire connections, with a maximum of 500 mA available according to the datasheet. Conversion time is listed as 100 ms, and the module provides diagnostics including input wire-break detection, input short-circuit detection and input underflow or overflow detection. These features help improve fault visibility when working with field instrumentation.
The module includes 3 kVDC isolation between signal and system and 1 kVDC isolation between groups. As part of the ioPAC 6500 modular system, it supports hot-swap design, tool-free installation and error-proof arrow-pin matching when paired with the correct terminal block. The compatible terminal block is 65M-TB-3800H-CT-T, sold separately. With conformal coating support and -40°C to 75°C operation, the 65M-3800H-CT-T is a strong choice for HART-based analogue monitoring.
