The 65M-BMEXP02-CT-T is a two-slot expansion backplane module for ioPAC 6500 Series modular controller systems. It provides two expansion module positions, making it suitable for ioPAC 6500 configurations that require more expansion capability than a single-slot expansion backplane can provide. This gives system designers more flexibility when building modular controller systems for larger or more complex industrial applications.
This module supports the ioPAC 6500 platform’s fully modular design, where backplane modules are combined with power, communication, CPU, expansion, I/O and terminal-block modules. The approach allows the controller system to be sized and configured to match the deployment, reducing unnecessary hardware while supporting future expansion. Applications can include remote automation, distributed control, utility monitoring, transport infrastructure and industrial data acquisition.
The 65M-BMEXP02-CT-T is designed to support efficient installation and service. The wider 65M backplane family supports tool-free hardware installation and hot-swap operation, helping reduce maintenance time and improve operational efficiency. The 2 x 2 pin grid design helps prevent incorrect module assembly, while the specified installation order of PWR, COM, CPU, EXP and IO helps ensure the system is built correctly.
The module uses a plastic housing and measures 86 x 177 x 45.5 mm. It weighs 322 g and supports DIN-rail mounting as standard, with rack mounting possible using the optional kit. This makes it suitable for both cabinet-based and rack-based ioPAC 6500 installations.
The 65M-BMEXP02-CT-T supports conformal coating and operates from -40°C to 75°C. As with the rest of the series, proper airflow is required above 65°C. With EMC, safety, shock and vibration compliance listed in the datasheet, it is a dependable two-slot expansion backplane for modular ioPAC 6500 controller systems.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
