The EDS-4009-3MSC-LV is a compact, fully managed Fast Ethernet switch for industrial networks that need fibre reach and high availability. It provides six 10/100Base-T(X) copper ports and three 100Base-FX multi-mode SC ports, supporting typical fibre distances up to 5 km at 1310 nm. Redundancy is built-in with Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain delivering recovery under 20 ms across 250 switches; standard protocols including RSTP/MSTP and link aggregation (LACP) add further resilience.
Security and manageability match modern OT requirements. The switch is IEC 62443-4-2 Security Level 2 certified and supports HTTPS/SSH, 802.1X, ACLs, DHCP snooping, storm control, MAC protections and password policies. MXstudio integration simplifies visualised configuration and monitoring. Operational tooling includes SNMPv1/v2c/v3, LLDP, RMON, syslog, SPAN/RSPAN and fibre check. Industrial protocol awareness spans EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP and PROFINET Device. For time-critical systems, hardware-based IEEE 1588v2 PTP is supported with utility/substation profiles (IEC 61850-9-3, IEEE C37.238).
Switch resources include a 16K MAC table, 1 MB packet buffer, 9,216-byte jumbo frames, four QoS queues, VLAN tagging (256 VLANs) and IGMP snooping/querier. Power is via redundant dual 12/24/48 VDC inputs (9.6–60 VDC) on removable terminals with overload and reverse-polarity protection. The IP40 metal housing (55 × 140 × 120 mm) supports DIN-rail or optional wall mounting and operates from -10 to 60°C. Certifications include EN 50121-4 (rail), IEC 61850-3 / IEEE 1613 (substation) and maritime/hazardous-location approvals on LV models.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
