The EDS-518A-MM-ST-T delivers wide-temperature performance for multimode ST fibre installations. It provides 14 Fast-Ethernet copper ports for devices, two 100BaseFX MM ST ports for resilient fibre segments, and two combo Gigabit uplinks selectable as RJ45 or SFP.
To maximise uptime, the switch supports Moxa Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain with sub-20 ms failover, plus RSTP/STP/MSTP for standards-based loop protection. Security controls—IEEE 802.1X, TACACS+/RADIUS, SNMPv3, HTTPS/SSH, sticky MAC/port lock, and storm control—complement VLANs, quality of service, bandwidth shaping, and RMON monitoring.
Ruggedised for the field, the IP30 housing, DIN-rail format, and dual 24 VDC redundant inputs tolerate unstable power and weather-exposed enclosures. The integrated relay output forwards fault conditions to alarm systems. With a -40 to 75 °C rating, it serves transport roadside cabinets, energy sites, and large outdoor material handling systems.
Use ST fibre where existing plant cabling dictates the connector, or where quick bayonet-style latching is preferred. Employ the combo GbE uplinks to tailor each location—copper to nearby distribution, SFP for long fibre runs to a Gigabit core. Protocol support for EtherNet/IP and Modbus TCP streamlines PLC/SCADA connections, and PROFINET transparency works smoothly in mixed-vendor automation cells.

RMA
In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
