The Moxa MGate MB3170-M-SC-G2 is a 1-port Modbus gateway that connects RS-232/422/485 serial Modbus to Ethernet using multi-mode SC fibre, suited to installations where fibre is preferred for noise immunity, grounding separation, or longer link runs. It supports transparent conversion or agent mode polling with cached data to reduce SCADA read latency.
This variant is ideal for plant backbones and industrial networks where fibre links help avoid EMI issues and improve reliability across buildings or production areas. Alongside fibre connectivity, it provides the same configuration and maintenance workflow via the web console and built-in diagnostics and traffic monitoring tools. HTTPS (TLS 1.2) and SNMPv3 support secure access and management.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
