The Moxa MGate MB3170-S-SC-G2 is a 1-port Modbus gateway with RS-232/422/485 serial and single-mode SC fibre, built for longer-distance fibre links while bridging Modbus RTU/ASCII devices into Modbus TCP networks. It supports transparent conversion and agent mode polling with cached values to reduce latency and increase throughput for SCADA reads.
This single-mode SC variant is best suited to sites with longer backbone distances, inter-building links, or infrastructure networks where single-mode fibre is the standard. It retains the MB3170 platform’s usability advantages, including web-based configuration plus built-in diagnostics and traffic monitoring to speed commissioning and troubleshooting. HTTPS (TLS 1.2) and SNMPv3 support secure management.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
