The PowerTrans PT-508 is designed to meet the demands of power substation automation systems (IEC 61850-3, IEEE 1613). The PT-508’s optical fibre Fast Ethernet backbone, redundant ring, redundant power inputs (24V DC / 48V DC), and isolated power (24V DC / 48V DC and 110V/220V DC/AC) increase the reliability of your communications and save on cabling/wiring costs. In addition, the DIN-rail and wall-mount designs of the PT-508 make network planning easy, and allow greater flexibility by letting you install up to eight fast Ethernet ports for power distribution applications. The requirement of the project was to help design and integrate a computer and touchscreen LCD display solution for use in a car showroom kiosk environment, to help our client provide a more modern and interactive customer showroom experience, and to reduce financial overheads.
