The PT-508 Series is a family of IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 compliant managed Ethernet switches designed for power substation automation. With 8 Fast Ethernet ports in total, each switch provides 6x 10/100Base-T(X) copper ports and 2x 100Base-FX fibre ports, available in LC, SC, or ST connector options, for a flexible backbone design.
Resiliency features include Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain (<20 ms recovery at 250 switches), as well as STP/RSTP/MSTP. The switches integrate isolated dual power inputs with a wide range of options: 24 VDC, 48 VDC, or universal 110/220 VDC/VAC, ensuring a reliable, redundant supply for substation environments.
Certified to IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613, the PT-508 withstands EMI, surges, vibration, and operates in temperatures from -40 to 85°C. VLAN, QoS, IGMP snooping, Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP, and IEEE 802.1X security are supported for secure and predictable traffic management. Configuration is via web, CLI, Telnet/serial console, Windows utility, or ABC-01/02 backup devices.
With its DIN-rail and wall-mounting capabilities, rugged design, and redundant power options, the PT-508 Series is a reliable choice for building resilient, standards-compliant Ethernet networks in substations and other critical power automation systems.

RMA
In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.

The requirement of the project was to help design and integrate a computer and touchscreen LCD display solution for use in a car showroom kiosk environment, to help our client provide a more modern and interactive customer showroom experience, and to reduce financial overheads.
