The EDS-G4012 Series is a family of compact, full-Gigabit managed switches designed for industrial backbone and edge applications. With 12 Gigabit ports and options for up to 8x IEEE 802.3bt PoE ports delivering 90 W each, the series supports high-bandwidth and high-power devices such as PTZ cameras, wireless APs, and industrial controllers.
Certain models feature four SFP uplinks with speeds up to 2.5 Gbps, enabling faster backbone performance and long-distance fibre connectivity. Non-PoE variants offer 8x copper ports and 4x combo ports for cost-efficient deployments.
Certified to IEC 62443-4-1 and IEC 62443-4-2 cybersecurity standards, the switches integrate robust security features including IEEE 802.1X, RADIUS/TACACS+, SNMPv3, HTTPS, SSH, and role-based access control. Redundancy mechanisms include Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain with <50 ms recovery across 250 switches, plus standards-based RSTP/STP for multi-vendor environments.
Flexible power options cover LV (12/24/48 VDC) and HV (110/220 VDC/VAC), with both single and dual redundant feed models. Standard models operate from -10 to 60°C, while wide-temperature (-T) versions extend to -40 to 75°C.
Compact IP40 housing with DIN-rail or wall-mount options allows easy deployment in confined spaces. With a mix of PoE and non-PoE variants, high-speed uplinks, redundant power inputs, and certified cybersecurity, the EDS-G4012 Series provides a reliable platform for video surveillance, ITS, DCS, and other mission-critical industrial networks.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.

Wireless Solution Saves Time and Reduces Overheads for OT Machinery Monitoring Project
Our customer was looking for ways to improve efficiency and reliability, and reduce operation costs and overheads for their manufacturing facility. The initial step in this transformation was to add additional monitoring and measurements to several areas of their facility to allow the collection of usage data from older machinery for analysis. The machinery to be analysed would be located in many areas of the complex, with some sitting in concrete outbuildings far from the source of the main network.
