The EDS-505A-MM-SC-T is the wide-temperature version of the copper/fibre model, equipped with three 10/100 RJ-45 ports and two multi-mode SC fibre ports supporting fibre runs up to 4 km. Designed for outdoor enclosures and harsh sites, it operates reliably from -40 to 75 °C.
Resilient performance is ensured with Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain redundancy (<20 ms recovery) as well as RSTP/STP/MSTP for interoperability. Traffic optimisation is supported through VLAN segmentation, QoS, IGMP snooping, multicast filtering, port trunking, and bandwidth control, delivering stable performance for automation and SCADA.
Management flexibility includes web GUI, CLI, Telnet, serial console, and MXstudio software, with alarms provided through relay outputs and email notifications. Security measures include 802.1X, HTTPS, SSH, TACACS+, and RADIUS, offering strong protection against cyber threats.
Encased in a rugged IP30-rated housing, the unit supports DIN-rail and wall mounting. Certified for EN 50121-4 railway EMC, NEMA TS2 traffic control, ATEX hazardous zones, and maritime standards, it meets stringent requirements for transport and utility infrastructure.
With MTBF over 1 million hours and a 5-year warranty, the EDS-505A-MM-SC-T delivers dependable Ethernet switching in fibre-backed networks under extreme conditions.

RMA
In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
