The EDS-505A-MM-ST-T is a wide-temperature industrial Ethernet switch that provides three 10/100 RJ-45 copper ports and two multi-mode ST fibre uplinks, supporting distances up to 4 km. Designed for deployment in outdoor cabinets, transport networks, and extreme industrial sites, it operates reliably in -40 to 75 °C conditions.
The switch offers robust redundancy with Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain (<20 ms recovery) and supports STP, RSTP, and MSTP protocols. It also provides VLAN, QoS, IGMP snooping, multicast filtering, port trunking, bandwidth control, and RMON monitoring, ensuring predictable communication for automation and SCADA systems.
Configuration and monitoring can be done via web interface, CLI, Telnet, serial console, or MXstudio software, with fault notifications through relay outputs and email alerts. Enhanced security functions include 802.1X authentication, HTTPS, SSH, TACACS+, and RADIUS, offering strong protection against cyber threats.
The switch is housed in a rugged IP30 metal case supporting DIN-rail or wall installation. Certified for railway EMC (EN 50121-4), NEMA TS2 traffic control, ATEX hazardous areas, and maritime standards, it is suitable for critical transport and energy infrastructure.
With MTBF ratings over 1 million hours and a 5-year warranty, the EDS-505A-MM-ST-T provides long-lasting reliability for mixed copper and ST fibre networks in extreme environments.

RMA
In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
