The Moxa EDS-518E-4GTXSFP is an 18-port industrial managed Ethernet switch designed to deliver flexible and reliable networking for critical infrastructure. Featuring 14 Fast Ethernet RJ45 ports and 4 combo Gigabit RJ45/SFP slots, it allows integrators to balance copper and fiber connections to meet diverse system layouts. Its built-in redundancy technologies, including Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain with recovery under 20 ms, as well as RSTP and MSTP, ensure stable operations in mission-critical networks.
Security is reinforced with advanced measures such as IEEE 802.1X authentication, SNMPv3, RADIUS, TACACS+, sticky MAC addresses, and MAC ACL, making it suitable for installations where data integrity and access control are paramount. The switch also supports key industrial protocols—EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, and Modbus TCP—streamlining integration into automation systems and allowing direct monitoring from SCADA or PLC environments.
With Fiber Check™ diagnostics, the EDS-518E-4GTXSFP offers proactive detection of signal degradation and provides alerts on fiber health, minimizing downtime from unexpected link failures. V-ON multicast recovery ensures fast reconvergence for IP video, making it a robust solution for CCTV, ITS, and surveillance deployments.
The ruggedized IP30 metal housing, wide temperature support, and dual power inputs provide long-term resilience in rail, maritime, oil and gas, and factory environments. Compact DIN-rail installation and USB-based configuration further simplify deployment and maintenance. Altogether, the EDS-518E-4GTXSFP combines high-port density, gigabit flexibility, and robust management to meet the stringent requirements of modern industrial Ethernet backbones.

RMA
In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
