The EDS-518E-SS-SC-4GTXSFP-T is the wide-temperature variant of Moxa’s single-mode SC fiber switch, purpose-built for demanding outdoor and extreme industrial environments. It delivers 12 Fast Ethernet RJ45 ports, 2 single-mode SC fiber ports, and 4 combo Gigabit RJ45/SFP slots, offering versatile copper-fiber connectivity tailored for applications needing long-distance fiber backbones.
For resilience, the switch features Moxa’s Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain redundancy mechanisms, ensuring sub-20 ms failover, while RSTP and MSTP provide standards-based recovery options. Fiber Check enables real-time fiber status monitoring, helping operators detect performance degradation before outages occur. V-ON technology secures millisecond multicast recovery, making the switch highly suited for CCTV, real-time monitoring, and industrial video applications.
Cybersecurity functions include IEEE 802.1X, TACACS+, RADIUS, HTTPS, SSH, SNMPv3, sticky MAC protection, and MAC ACLs, safeguarding the network from intrusion. Network efficiency is enhanced through VLAN, QoS, port mirroring, and bandwidth management. With native support for EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, and PROFINET, the switch integrates seamlessly with SCADA and control systems in diverse industries.
The EDS-518E-SS-SC-4GTXSFP-T is ruggedised with an IP30 housing, shock and vibration resistance, and dual redundant DC inputs. Its wide -40 to 75 °C operating range makes it ideal for roadside enclosures, railway signalling infrastructure, desert pipelines, or arctic energy installations.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
