The EDS-518E-MM-SC-4GTXSFP-T builds on the standard MM-SC model with a wide temperature range of -40 to 75 °C, making it the perfect choice for outdoor and harsh environments. It features 12 Fast Ethernet RJ45 ports, 2 multi-mode SC fiber ports, and 4 combo Gigabit slots to deliver high network flexibility and scalable performance.
With Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain redundancy, recovery takes place in less than 20 ms, while RSTP and MSTP provide standards-based failover options. These features make the switch dependable in mission-critical automation, power substations, and transport infrastructure where interruptions are unacceptable. Fiber Check monitoring offers proactive health analysis of fibre links, while V-ON ensures millisecond-level multicast recovery—critical for IP CCTV and real-time monitoring.
Cybersecurity is built-in with IEEE 802.1X authentication, TACACS+, RADIUS, HTTPS, SSH, SNMPv3, sticky MAC, and MAC ACL controls. Engineers can design secure, segmented, and prioritised networks using VLAN, QoS, and bandwidth management tools. Together, these functions deliver predictable, secure, and efficient communications in diverse industrial environments.
This model’s wide temperature resilience, shock/vibration tolerance, and redundant DC power inputs make it a trusted choice for installations such as roadside cabinets, rail trackside controllers, oilfield sites, and marine engine rooms. Its IP30 enclosure and DIN-rail form factor simplify integration into existing cabinets.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
