The Moxa EDS-518E-4GTXSFP-T offers the same advanced features as the standard model but is engineered for operation in extreme environments, with a wide temperature range of -40 to 75 °C. This makes it ideal for outdoor enclosures, roadside cabinets, and harsh industrial sites where thermal stress and fluctuating climates are common.
It provides 14 Fast Ethernet RJ45 ports and 4 combo Gigabit slots, supporting both copper and fiber with auto-negotiation and redundancy through Turbo Ring, Turbo Chain, RSTP, and MSTP. Its failover recovery time of under 20 ms ensures that mission-critical processes remain connected without interruption.
Security functions include IEEE 802.1X, TACACS+, RADIUS, SNMPv3, sticky MAC filtering, and HTTPS/SSH for encrypted management. With VLAN support, QoS prioritization, bandwidth control, and port mirroring, engineers can optimize traffic flows for industrial automation and transportation systems. Fiber Check diagnostics further enable predictive maintenance of optical links, while V-ON delivers millisecond-level recovery for multicast traffic such as IP video streams.
Industrial protocol support—EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, and Modbus TCP—makes it a plug-and-play addition to control and monitoring networks. USB configuration with ABC-02-USB simplifies firmware updates and backup. The IP30 housing, vibration resistance, and redundant 12/24/48 VDC power inputs ensure long-term stability, even under mechanical shock and unstable power supply conditions.
The EDS-518E-4GTXSFP-T is particularly suited for rail trackside systems, energy substations, oilfield operations, and outdoor ITS networks. Combining advanced redundancy, extended temperature tolerance, and hardened industrial design, it provides a reliable networking foundation for the most demanding automation scenarios.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
