For critical DC-powered infrastructure, the IKS-6728A-8PoE-4GTXSFP-48-48-T provides redundant 48 VDC inputs with full PoE+ capabilities. The switch supports up to 24 modular Fast Ethernet ports and four Gigabit combo uplinks, plus eight integrated PoE+ ports offering up to 36 W each under IEEE 802.3af/at. This allows direct powering of surveillance, wireless, and voice endpoints with assured continuity.
Turbo Ring/Turbo Chain technologies deliver <20 ms recovery on Fast Ethernet rings, with standards-based STP/RSTP/MSTP ensuring multivendor redundancy. V-ON maintains multicast video and control continuity in milliseconds. Advanced PoE tools include PD auto-check, power scheduling, and diagnostics, maximising uptime for powered devices. Security layers include IEEE 802.1X, TACACS+/RADIUS, HTTPS/SSH, sticky MAC, ACLs, and SNMPv3. Traffic control covers VLAN, quality of service, IGMP snooping/GVRP, LACP trunking, and RMON monitoring. USB ports and ABC-02-USB simplify provisioning and replacement.
Housed in a rugged IP30 fanless chassis, the switch is specified for -40 to 75 °C environments with overload and reverse polarity protection, surge resilience, and alarm relay output. This model is ideal for substations, traffic tunnels, rail nodes, and remote industrial sites that standardise on redundant 48 VDC power while supporting a growing PoE device fleet.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
