The IKS-6728A-4GTXSFP-48-48-T is engineered for networks where redundant 48 VDC power is essential. This rackmount managed switch supports up to 24 modular Fast Ethernet ports via IM-6700A modules alongside four Gigabit combo uplinks (RJ45/SFP). Hot-swappable media modules allow flexible combinations of copper and fibre (MM/SM, SC/ST) and simplify adaptation to evolving field requirements.
For high availability, Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain offer recovery times under 20 ms at Fast Ethernet, while STP/RSTP/MSTP provide vendor-agnostic redundancy. V-ON technology enables millisecond-level multicast recovery, which is critical for surveillance and process automation. Security features include IEEE 802.1X, TACACS+/RADIUS, MAB, sticky MAC, MAC ACLs, HTTPS/SSH, and SNMPv3, ensuring controlled access and data integrity. Engineers benefit from VLAN (802.1Q/GVRP), Quality of service(802.1p/ToS), IGMP snooping/GMRP, LACP trunking, and RMON analytics. USB storage support and ABC-02-USB streamline backup and device replacement.
The hardened IP30 chassis is fanless and designed for -40 to 75 °C operation, with overload protection, reverse polarity protection, alarm relay, and line-swap fast recovery. It is well-suited for substations, rail signalling huts, offshore rigs, and other environments where dual 48 VDC sources are essential for maintaining uptime.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
