The EDS-4012-4GS-LV delivers compact Layer 2 switching with four flexible 1G SFP uplinks for cabinet and wayside networks. Eight 10/100 copper access ports handle field devices, while four 100/1000 SFP slots support fibre uplinks or long runs to aggregation nodes. High availability is built in: Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain deliver sub-20 ms recovery across 250 switches (< 50 ms with 1G links), and standards-based RSTP/MSTP, MRP, and LACP add interoperable resilience and bandwidth aggregation.
Security and operations match modern OT needs. The platform is IEC 62443-4-2 SL2 certified and supports HTTPS/SSH, 802.1X, ACLs, DHCP snooping, storm control and MAC protections. MXstudio integration streamlines visualised setup and diagnostics; admins also get SNMPv1/v2c/v3, LLDP, RMON, syslog, SPAN/RSPAN and fibre check. Industrial protocol awareness covers EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP and PROFINET Device, while hardware-based IEEE 1588v2 PTP supports utility/substation profiles.
Switch resources include a 16K MAC table, a 1 MB buffer, 9,216-byte jumbo frames, four quality of service queues, up to 256 VLANs, and IGMP snooping/querier functionality. Power is redundant dual 12/24/48 VDC (operating 9.6–60 VDC) with overload and reverse-polarity protection. The IP40 metal enclosure (55 × 140 × 120 mm) supports DIN-rail or wall mounting and operates from -10 to 60°C. Approvals include EN 50121-4, IEC 61850-3 / IEEE 1613, plus maritime and hazardous-location ratings for LV models.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
