The Moxa EDS-518E is a robust 18-port managed Ethernet switch, featuring 14 fast Ethernet ports and four combo Gigabit ports (RJ45/SFP). Designed for high-availability industrial networking, it supports advanced redundancy via Turbo Ring, Turbo Chain, RSTP, and MSTP protocols with recovery times under 20 ms. Its advanced security suite includes 802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS+, MAC ACL, and sticky MAC, as well as HTTPS and SSH for secure remote access.
This switch is ideal for industrial automation, railways, maritime, and power systems, featuring V-ON™ for multicast recovery and Fibre Check diagnostics. It supports EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, and Modbus TCP for protocol flexibility, and includes SNMPv3, RMON, VLAN, QoS, port trunking, and port mirroring for efficient management. Its wide operating temperature range and DIN-rail mounting make it well-suited for harsh environments.

RMA
In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.

Our customer was looking for ways to improve efficiency and reliability, and reduce operation costs and overheads for their manufacturing facility. The initial step in this transformation was to add additional monitoring and measurements to several areas of their facility to allow the collection of usage data from older machinery for analysis. The machinery to be analysed would be located in many areas of the complex, with some sitting in concrete outbuildings far from the source of the main network.
