The Moxa ioLogik R1210 is a 16-channel digital input RS-485 remote I/O module designed for reliable status monitoring across industrial automation, building services and remote equipment installations. As part of the ioLogik R1200 Series, it combines simple two-wire RS-485 communications with Modbus RTU slave support, giving system integrators a cost-effective way to bring field signals back to a PLC, RTU, SCADA platform or industrial controller. With 16 digital inputs, the ioLogik R1210 is well suited to applications where multiple contacts, switches, sensors or alarm states need to be monitored from a single compact device.
This model is particularly useful for monitoring door contacts, limit switches, float switches, push buttons, auxiliary contacts, machine run signals and general-purpose dry or wet contact inputs. The digital input channels support dry contact and wet contact (NPN or PNP) signals, and the module can also operate in DI or event counter mode, with counter frequency support up to 2.5 kHz. That makes it a practical choice not only for simple on/off status acquisition, but also for pulse-based monitoring tasks such as counting triggers, cycle events or basic flow pulses. Software-configurable digital filtering also helps improve signal stability in noisier environments.
For installers and maintenance teams, the ioLogik R1210 offers several practical advantages. It features dual RS-485 ports with a built-in repeater, helping with serial line expansion, easier troubleshooting and more resilient network design. Configuration can be handled through software or via USB, and firmware can be upgraded through either USB or the RS-485 connection, helping reduce commissioning and service time. The module accepts a 12 to 48 VDC power input and supports DIN rail or wall mounting, making it easy to deploy in control panels, machinery cabinets and distributed field enclosures.
The standard ioLogik R1210 is designed for operating temperatures from -10 to +75°C, making it a strong fit for indoor industrial cabinets, factory equipment, plant rooms and other controlled environments where dependable serial remote I/O is required without the added cost of an extreme-temperature model.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
