The Moxa ioLogik R1240 is an 8-channel analogue input RS-485 remote I/O module designed for accurate acquisition of process signals across industrial control, monitoring and telemetry systems. Where the digital models in the R1200 range focus on contact status and switching, the R1240 is built for applications that require continuous analogue measurement, making it ideal for bringing pressure, flow, level, temperature and general process transmitter signals back to a central controller. With Modbus RTU slave communications over RS-485, it offers a straightforward way to add analogue monitoring to PLC, RTU and SCADA-based architectures without the cost or complexity of Ethernet infrastructure.
The module provides 8 analogue input channels and supports common industrial signal ranges including 0 to 10 VDC, 0 to 20 mA and 4 to 20 mA, including 4 to 20 mA with burn-out detection. It uses a differential input design, includes a built-in 120-ohm resistor for current input, and offers 16-bit converter resolution for good measurement detail. Sampling performance is specified at 12 samples per second across all channels, or 12 samples per second when only one channel is enabled, helping the R1240 balance stable acquisition with practical field monitoring performance. Accuracy for the standard model is rated at ±0.1% FSR at 25°C and ±0.3% FSR from -10 to 60°C, which makes it well suited to normal industrial operating conditions.
In practical use, the ioLogik R1240 is a strong fit for tank level monitoring, utility metering, environmental measurement, process skid instrumentation, pump station feedback and general analogue telemetry. Shared series features such as dual RS-485 ports with a built-in repeater, software or USB configuration, remote firmware updates, 12 to 48 VDC power input, and DIN rail or wall mounting make it easy to deploy and maintain.
The standard ioLogik R1240 operates from -10 to +75°C, making it a very good choice for indoor industrial cabinets and controlled process environments where reliable analogue input monitoring is needed but extreme ambient conditions are not expected.

When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
