The Moxa ioLogik R1214 is a 6DI and 6-relay RS-485 remote I/O module built for industrial applications that need both digital monitoring and direct switching capability in one compact unit. As part of the ioLogik R1200 Series, it uses Modbus RTU slave communications over RS-485 to provide a simple, dependable and cost-effective remote I/O solution for PLC, RTU and SCADA-based systems. Where the R1210 focuses on pure input acquisition and the R1212 balances input and transistor-style digital I/O, the ioLogik R1214 is aimed at applications that require relay-based control, making it especially attractive for switching higher-power field devices or interfacing with AC and DC loads.
The module includes 6 digital inputs for receiving contact or sensor states and 6 Form A (normally open) power relays for output switching. The digital input side supports dry contact and wet contact (NPN or PNP) signals, while the relay outputs are rated for 5 A resistive loads at 30 VDC, 250 VAC and 110 VAC. This makes the R1214 a practical option for controlling alarms, beacons, fans, contactors, solenoids, pumps, lights and other field devices that are better switched through relays than through low-power transistor outputs. In many control panels, it can reduce the need for separate relay interface hardware and help simplify the overall design.
The ioLogik R1214 also benefits from shared R1200 Series features including dual RS-485 ports with a built-in repeater, software or USB configuration, firmware updates via USB or RS-485, and a 12 to 48 VDC power input range. DIN rail and wall mounting support make installation straightforward in plant rooms, control cabinets and machine panels. Because it combines input feedback with relay switching, it is particularly useful in alarm handling, equipment start/stop indication, utility control panels and general-purpose remote switching applications.
The standard ioLogik R1214 operates from -10 to +75°C, making it well suited to indoor industrial environments where relay-based serial remote I/O is needed without stepping up to the wider temperature version.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
