The NPort IA5150I-G2-T is the high-performance 1-port serial device server, combining maximum protection with resilience for harsh environments. It connects a single RS-232/422/485 device to an Ethernet network, providing both electrical isolation and reliable operation in extreme temperatures.
This model is defined by its two key industrial features. First, it includes 2 kV serial isolation to protect sensitive downstream equipment from electrical noise and ground loop damage. Second, its "-T" rating ensures flawless operation in a wide -40 to 75°C temperature range.
Networking is flexible thanks to its dual 10/100Base-T(X) RJ45 Ethernet ports, which can be used for daisy-chaining to simplify wiring or for dual-IP redundancy. Setup is fast, with 30-second Real COM configuration, and operations are secure with encrypted modes like Secure TCP Server and Reverse SSH.
Engineered for tough applications, the IA5150I-G2-T features a rugged IP30 metal housing, 12-48 VDC power inputs, and comprehensive surge protection. One-click log collection and embedded traffic monitoring make troubleshooting easy, while a relay output and email alerts provide instant notification of power or link failures.
This is the ideal choice for critical serial assets in remote, hazardous (CID2, ATEX Zone 2), or outdoor locations.

Signal Interface Display simulator for testing new London Underground signalling system
London Underground signalling engineers required a number of panel PCs for temporary use as in-cab Signal Interface Displays (SIDs) in test trains, to allow the engineers to test the information being sent to the train from the new Thales computer-based signalling system.
