The NPort IA5250-G2-T is a 2-port wide-temperature serial device server, built for reliable operation in harsh industrial environments. It connects up to two RS-232/422/485 devices to your Ethernet network, making it ideal for outdoor cabinets or unconditioned facilities exposed to extreme heat or cold.
A key feature is its dual 10/100Base-T(X) RJ45 Ethernet ports, which function as a switch to enable easy daisy-chaining to nearby devices. This cascading capability simplifies wiring layouts and saves on the cost of additional switches. The ports also support dual IP addresses for redundant network paths.
Fast setup is a core benefit. Using the DSU-G2 utility, Real COM mode can be configured in about 30 seconds. The server supports a full suite of secure, encrypted operation modes (Real COM, TCP Server/Client, Reverse SSH) and high-precision nonstandard baud rates up to 921.6 kbps.
For maximum uptime, the IA5250-G2-T is built with a rugged IP30 metal housing, 12-48 VDC power inputs, and robust surge protection for serial, power, and Ethernet lines. Diagnostics are streamlined with one-click log collection and embedded traffic monitoring. A built-in relay and email alerts provide proactive warnings for power or link failures.
This T model is designed for harsh conditions, featuring two RS-232/422/485 DB9 ports and a wide operating temperature range of -40 to 75°C.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
