The NPort IA5150-M-SC-G2 is a 1-port serial device server designed for long-distance communication and environments with high electromagnetic interference. It securely connects a single RS-232/422/485 device to your Ethernet network using a fibre optic uplink.
This model features one 10/100Base-T(X) RJ45 port for local configuration or device connection, and one 100Base-FX multi-mode fibre port with an SC connector. Fibre is immune to EMI/RFI noise and protects against high ground loop voltages, making it perfect for industrial plants or outdoor applications. This multi-mode model supports transmission distances of up to 4 km (OM1) or 5 km (50/125 µm).
Setup is fast, with a 30-second Real COM mode configuration. The server supports a full suite of secure, encrypted operation modes (Real COM, TCP Server/Client, Reverse SSH) and high-precision nonstandard baud rates up to 921.6 kbps.
Engineered for industrial resilience, the IA5150-M-SC-G2 features a rugged IP30 metal housing, 12-48 VDC power inputs, and comprehensive surge protection for its serial, Ethernet, and power lines. For troubleshooting, it offers one-click log collection and embedded traffic monitoring. Proactive alerts can be sent via a built-in relay output or email for power failure or link changes.
This model features one RS-232/422/485 DB9 port and is rated for a -10 to 60°C operating temperature.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
