The NPort IA5250-TB-G2 is a 2-port DIN-rail serial device server designed for easy and secure field wiring. It connects up to two RS-232/422/485 devices (like PLCs, sensors, or meters) to your TCP/IP network, featuring connectors that are ideal for direct wire termination.
The NPort IA5250-TB-G2 model replaces the standard DB9 connectors with two 5-pin terminal blocks. This approach offers a significant advantage for field installations, as it allows installers to terminate bare wires directly and securely without needing to solder or use extra DB9-to-terminal block adapters, saving time and cost.
Its dual 10/100Base-T(X) RJ45 Ethernet ports operate as an Ethernet switch, enabling you to daisy-chain devices to simplify cabinet wiring and reduce switch port usage. The ports also support dual IP addresses for network redundancy.
Setup is fast (30-second Real COM mode), and operations are secure with a full suite of encrypted modes like Secure TCP Server and Reverse SSH. The server also supports high-precision nonstandard baud rates up to 921.6 kbps.
Engineered for industrial resilience, the IA5250-TB-G2 features a rugged IP30 metal housing, 12-48 VDC power inputs, and comprehensive surge protection. One-click log collection and embedded traffic monitoring simplify diagnostics.
