The NPort IA5150-SFP-G2 is a 1-port serial device server offering maximum network flexibility for industrial applications. It connects a single RS-232/422/485 device to an Ethernet network, allowing you to choose the exact network media type your application requires.
This model's key feature is its open 100Base SFP slot. This allows you to populate the port with any 100Base SFP transceiver (sold separately) to match your infrastructure, whether it's multi-mode fibre, long-haul single-mode fibre, or even an additional copper port. This adaptability makes it an excellent choice for standardising on a single device server model for various applications. It also includes one 10/100Base-T(X) RJ45 port for local access.
Setup is fast, with 30-second Real COM mode configuration via the DSU-G2 utility. The server supports a full range of secure operation modes, including Secure TCP Server, Secure TCP Client, and Reverse SSH, all protected with data encryption. It also supports high-precision nonstandard baud rates up to 921.6 kbps.
Engineered for industrial uptime, the IA5150-SFP-G2 features a rugged IP30 metal housing, 12-48 VDC power inputs, and surge protection on all lines. One-click diagnostics and embedded traffic monitoring simplify troubleshooting, while a relay output and email alerts warn of faults.
This model features one DB9 serial port and is rated for a standard -10 to 60°C operating temperature.
