The PT-G510-4GTX4GSFP-PHR-HV is a mixed-port designed for digital substations and power automation networks that demand seamless redundancy and hybrid copper-fibre connectivity. Providing 4x Gigabit copper ports and 6x Gigabit SFP slots, it allows direct connection of IEDs while offering fibre uplinks for backbone integration.
As an IEC 61850-3 RedBox, the switch bridges non-redundant devices into PRP and HSR networks, ensuring uninterrupted data flows in accordance with IEC 62439-3, Clauses 4 and 5. This extends the benefits of fault tolerance across both modern and legacy equipment. Beyond PRP/HSR, supported redundancy options include MRP, Turbo Ring/Chain, RSTP, and MSTP.
A hardware-based IEEE 1588v2 PTP clock with IEC 61850-9-3 and IEEE C37.238 profiles ensures precise time synchronisation, essential for protection relays and automation. SCADA integration is enabled through a built-in MMS server (IEC 61850-90-4), while GOOSE Check tools simplify monitoring of protection traffic.
The unit is certified to IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 for electromagnetic immunity, surge resistance, and reliability in substation environments. Dual 110–220 VAC/VDC inputs provide power resilience, while the -40 to 75°C range ensures reliable performance in harsh climates. Security capabilities such as SSH, RADIUS, TACACS+, ACLs, and port lock support secure, NERC CIP-ready deployments.
The PT-G510-4GTX4GSFP-PHR-HV is suited for substations, smart grids, and process industries requiring mixed port flexibility, seamless redundancy, and IEC 61850-3 reliability.
