The PT-G510-8GTX-PHR-HV is an IEC 61850-3 Edition 2 compliant, Layer 2 managed switch designed for digital substations and utility networks that require seamless redundancy. With 8x Gigabit copper ports and 2x SFP uplinks, it provides a hybrid design for integrating local copper IEDs with fibre backbone infrastructure.
The switch connects non-redundant Ethernet devices into PRP/HSR networks (IEC 62439-3, Clauses 4 and 5), extending fault-tolerant benefits to both legacy and modernised devices. In addition to PRP and HSR, it supports redundancy protocols including MRP, Turbo Ring/Chain, STP, and RSTP, ensuring robust recovery strategies for complex topologies.
The built-in IEEE 1588v2 PTP engine, with IEEE C37.238 and IEC 61850-9-3 power profiles, ensures precise timing synchronisation across substations, enabling deterministic behaviour for protection relays and control applications. A built-in MMS server (IEC 61850-90-4) provides structured data models for SCADA integration, while GOOSE Check aids troubleshooting of critical messaging traffic.
With dual isolated 110–220 VAC/VDC inputs and a wide operating range of -40 to 75°C, the switch is designed for the demanding electrical and thermal conditions of substations. Certified to IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613, it withstands EMI, surges, and vibration. Security features such as RADIUS, TACACS+, SSH, ACLs, and port lock further support compliance with NERC CIP standards.
The PT-G510-8GTX-PHR-HV is ideal for digital substations, renewable power plants, and smart grid deployments requiring seamless PRP/HSR redundancy, and robust copper-fibre connectivity.

RMA
In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
