The PT-G510-8GTX-PHR-WV is a managed Layer 2 IEC 61850-3 switch that combines 8x copper ports with 2x Gigabit SFP uplinks for versatile substation networking. It is designed for power automation and process control applications where high reliability and seamless redundancy are essential.
Capability allows non-redundant Ethernet IEDs to be integrated into PRP/HSR networks, meeting IEC 62439-3 requirements for seamless redundancy. This enables operators to extend zero-recovery-time protection across both modern and legacy devices. Additional redundancy protocols include MRP, Turbo Ring/Chain, STP, and RSTP, offering flexible recovery mechanisms.
The switch incorporates a hardware-assisted IEEE 1588v2 PTP clock with power profiles (IEEE C37.238 and IEC 61850-9-3) for precise time synchronisation. SCADA integration is supported by a built-in MMS server (IEC 61850-90-4) and GOOSE Check diagnostics, which streamline monitoring and troubleshooting of protection messages.
With dual isolated 24/48 VDC inputs, the PT-G510-8GTX-PHR-WV ensures power resilience, while -40 to 75°C operation and IEC 61850-3/IEEE 1613 certification guarantee performance in the harsh EMI and environmental conditions of substations. Security features such as SSH, RADIUS, TACACS+, and ACLs help protect critical infrastructure against cyber threats.
The PT-G510-8GTX-PHR-WV is suited for substations, utility automation, and smart energy projects requiring copper connectivity, fibre uplinks, and robust IEC 61850-3 redundancy.

RMA
In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
