The EDS-408A-3M-SC-T is the wide-temperature version of the 3-port multi-mode fibre model, designed for demanding outdoor and transport environments. It features five 10/100 RJ-45 ports and three multi-mode SC fibre uplinks, providing medium-distance backbone connectivity up to 4 km.
Designed for resilience, the switch integrates Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain recovery (<20 ms) along with RSTP/STP support, ensuring reliable failover in mission-critical networks. Advanced management functions include VLAN (802.1Q and port-based), IGMP snooping, quality of service prioritisation, RMON, and SNMP, giving operators complete visibility and control.
Management access is flexible via web GUI, CLI, Telnet, serial console, or MXstudio, with relay alarms and email alerts available for rapid troubleshooting.
Built for DIN-rail or wall-mount installation, the IP30 metal housing is rated for -40 to 75 °C operation, making it suitable for railway cabinets, roadside traffic enclosures, or oil & gas sites. Compliance includes EN 50121-4 railway, NEMA TS2 traffic, ATEX/IECEx hazardous locations, and maritime DNV/LR/ABS approvals.
With long MTBF reliability and a 5-year warranty, the EDS-408A-3M-SC-T provides a robust managed Ethernet platform with fibre flexibility for harsh and wide-temperature industrial networks.

RMA
In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
