The EDS-408A-MM-ST-T is the wide-temperature version of the RJ-45 + ST fibre switch, designed for deployment in challenging industrial and outdoor environments. It provides six 10/100 copper ports and two multi-mode ST fibre ports, supporting distances up to 4 km.
Reliability is assured with Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain (<20 ms recovery) as well as RSTP/STP support, ensuring robust operation in transport, utility, and automation networks. Advanced features include VLAN segmentation, QoS traffic prioritisation, IGMP snooping for multicast, RMON, and bandwidth control, all optimised for deterministic communication.
Remote management is enabled via web interface, CLI, Telnet, serial console, or MXstudio software, while relay alarms and email alerts provide immediate event notification.
The IP30-rated enclosure supports DIN-rail or wall mounting, with resilience proven through IEC shock, vibration, and free-fall testing. Rated for -40 to 75 °C operation, the switch is certified to EN 50121-4 railway, NEMA TS2 traffic, ATEX hazardous zones, and maritime standards (DNV, LR, ABS).
With a 5-year warranty and high MTBF rating, the EDS-408A-MM-ST-T is an ideal managed switch for rugged fibre/copper networks operating under extreme temperatures.

RMA
In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
