The Moxa PT-G510 Series is a family of IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613-compliant 10-port full-gigabit managed switches designed for mission-critical power substation and process automation networks. Supporting IEC 62439-3 redundancy protocols, including PRP (Parallel Redundancy Protocol) and HSR (High-availability Seamless Redundancy), the PT-G510 delivers zero recovery time to ensure uninterrupted communications in demanding SCADA and automation systems. With built-in PRP/HSR Coupling and QuadBox functions, the series enhances network versatility by allowing HSR rings and PRP LANs to interconnect seamlessly.
Equipped with up to 10 full Gigabit ports in copper, fibre, or combo configurations, the PT-G510 provides the bandwidth and flexibility needed for data-intensive substation and industrial applications. Hardware-based IEEE 1588v2 PTP ensures precise time synchronisation, while a built-in MMS server based on IEC 61850-90-4 enables integration with power SCADA systems. The rugged design supports operation from -40 to 85°C, dual isolated redundant HV (110/220 VDC/VAC) or WV (24/48 VDC) power supplies, and an optional conformal coating for use in harsh environments.
Advanced security features such as HTTPS, SSH, SNMPv3, RADIUS, and TACACS+ protect against unauthorised access, while management is simplified via web interface, CLI, SNMP, or Moxa’s MXstudio. The PT-G510 is ideal for substations, renewable energy plants, and other high-availability networks requiring standards-based redundancy, robust cybersecurity, and long-term reliability.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.

Our customer was looking for ways to improve efficiency and reliability, and reduce operation costs and overheads for their manufacturing facility. The initial step in this transformation was to add additional monitoring and measurements to several areas of their facility to allow the collection of usage data from older machinery for analysis. The machinery to be analysed would be located in many areas of the complex, with some sitting in concrete outbuildings far from the source of the main network.
