The NPort 5610-16-DT-J-G2 is a 16-port RS-232 serial device server designed for applications that need to connect a large number of RS-232 devices to an Ethernet network. With sixteen serial ports in a compact desktop form factor, it is a practical choice for control rooms, equipment racks, industrial systems, data collection projects and installations where many legacy serial devices need to be accessed from modern networked hosts.
This model provides sixteen RS-232 serial ports using 8-pin RJ45 connectors, helping deliver high serial port density while keeping the hardware compact. It also includes two 10/100/1000M RJ45 Ethernet ports for network connectivity. The Ethernet interfaces support auto-sensing operation and feature 1.5 kV built-in magnetic isolation protection, which can help improve communication stability in challenging electrical environments.
The NPort 5610-16-DT-J-G2 supports standard serial operation modes such as Real COM, TCP Client, TCP Server, UDP, RFC2217 and Pair Connection. Secure operation modes are also available for applications where serial data needs to be protected over the network. With support for HTTPS, SNMPv3, Secure Boot, role-based access control, encryption and certificate signing, the device provides a stronger security foundation than basic serial-to-Ethernet converters.
Deployment and maintenance are supported by one-click log collection and application analysis. These tools are useful during commissioning, when engineers need to confirm that communication is working correctly, and during support, when logs may be needed to diagnose faults. The device also includes a built-in watchdog timer, buzzer and real-time clock to help support reliable operation. With 12 to 48 VDC power input, reverse polarity protection, metal housing, desktop installation, wall mounting and optional DIN-rail mounting, the NPort 5610-16-DT-J-G2 is a dependable 16-port RS-232 networking solution for standard temperature environments from -10°C to 60°C.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
