The NPort 5650-16-DT-J-G2-T is a wide-temperature 16-port serial device server designed for applications that need high-density RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485 connectivity in demanding environments. It allows up to sixteen serial devices to be connected to an Ethernet network, helping organisations modernise legacy serial infrastructure while keeping existing equipment in service. With -40°C to 75°C operating temperature support, it is suitable for remote, industrial and infrastructure applications where environmental conditions can be more challenging.
The unit provides sixteen serial ports using 8-pin RJ45 connectors and supports RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485 standards. This makes it a flexible option for systems that need to connect a mix of serial devices from one compact platform. Two 10/100/1000M RJ45 Ethernet ports provide Gigabit network access, with auto-sensing operation and built-in 1.5 kV magnetic isolation protection to help support stable communication.
Serial settings are highly configurable, with baud rates from 50 bps to 921.6 kbps, support for non-standard baud rates, multiple data bit, stop bit and parity options, and flow control via RTS/CTS, DTR/DSR and XON/XOFF. RS-485 support includes automatic data direction control, termination and pull high/low resistor options, making the device suitable for both point-to-point and multidrop applications.
The NPort 5650-16-DT-J-G2-T supports Real COM, TCP Server, TCP Client, UDP, RFC2217 and Pair Connection modes, along with secure operation modes for encrypted serial transmission. Security functions include Secure Boot, HTTPS, SNMPv3, role-based access control and strong encryption support. One-click log collection and application analysis reduce the time needed to diagnose communication problems, while the watchdog timer, buzzer and real-time clock support ongoing reliability. With metal housing, 12 to 48 VDC input and reverse polarity protection, this model is a robust 16-port solution for wide-temperature serial networking.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
