The NPort 5610-16-DT-J-G2-T is a wide-temperature 16-port RS-232 serial device server for applications that require high-density serial connectivity in harsher operating conditions. It enables up to sixteen RS-232 devices to be connected to an Ethernet network, allowing existing serial equipment to be managed from IP-based systems while reducing the need for multiple individual serial converters.

This model uses 8-pin RJ45 connectors for its sixteen RS-232 serial ports, giving it a compact layout suitable for installations with space constraints or high port counts. It includes two 10/100/1000M RJ45 Ethernet ports with auto-sensing operation and built-in 1.5 kV magnetic isolation protection. The dual Gigabit Ethernet interfaces provide reliable network access for centralised monitoring, distributed control and host-based serial management.

The NPort 5610-16-DT-J-G2-T supports Real COM, TCP Server, TCP Client, UDP, RFC2217 and Pair Connection modes, making it compatible with a wide range of serial networking architectures. Secure operation modes are available for encrypted communication, helping protect serial data when it is transmitted over network infrastructure. Security functions include Secure Boot, HTTPS, SNMPv3, role-based access control, strong encryption and certificate signing support.

One-click log collection and application analysis are included to make deployment and troubleshooting easier. These tools help engineers capture the information required to identify potential communication problems and resolve issues faster. Reliability is further supported by a built-in watchdog timer, buzzer and real-time clock. With metal housing, 12 to 48 VDC input, reverse polarity protection and support for -40°C to 75°C operating temperatures, the NPort 5610-16-DT-J-G2-T is a strong fit for wide-temperature applications that require dense RS-232-to-Ethernet connectivity.
