The NPort 5610-8-DTS-J-G2 is a slim 8-port RS-232 serial device server designed for installations where compact hardware and straightforward serial-to-Ethernet connectivity are required. It allows up to eight RS-232 devices to be connected to an Ethernet network, enabling remote access, centralised management and integration with modern IP-based systems. Its slim desktop design makes it particularly useful where rack space, panel space or mounting options are limited.

This model provides eight RS-232 serial ports using 10-pin RJ50 connectors and includes two 10/100/1000M RJ45 Ethernet ports. The Ethernet interfaces support auto-sensing operation and include 1.5 kV built-in magnetic isolation protection. The compact DTS enclosure measures 210 x 95 x 25 mm without ears, giving users a low-profile alternative to larger serial device servers while still providing multiple serial ports.

The NPort 5610-8-DTS-J-G2 supports standard operation modes such as Real COM, TCP Server, TCP Client, UDP, RFC2217 and Pair Connection. Secure operation modes are also available to help protect serial data transmitted over network infrastructure. Security features include Secure Boot, HTTPS, SNMPv3, role-based authentication, encryption support and certificate signing support, making the device suitable for more security-conscious applications.

For system integrators, one-click application analysis helps identify potential communication issues during deployment. For maintenance teams, one-click log collection helps gather diagnostic information quickly when support is needed. The device also includes a built-in watchdog timer, buzzer and real-time clock for improved reliability and serviceability. With 12 to 48 VDC input, reverse polarity protection, metal housing, desktop installation, wall mounting and optional DIN-rail mounting, the NPort 5610-8-DTS-J-G2 is a compact and dependable RS-232 serial networking solution for -10°C to 60°C environments.
