The NPort 5610-8-DT-G2-T is a wide-temperature 8-port RS-232 serial device server for applications that need reliable serial-to-Ethernet connectivity in harsher environments. It allows existing RS-232 devices to be connected to an Ethernet network with minimal configuration, helping organisations extend the service life of legacy equipment while improving visibility, access and manageability. It is suitable for remote monitoring, industrial automation, utilities, transport, environmental systems and other installations where equipment may be exposed to wider ambient temperature ranges.
This model provides eight RS-232 serial ports with DB9 male connectors and two 10/100/1000M RJ45 Ethernet ports. The dual Gigabit Ethernet interfaces support auto-sensing operation and include 1.5 kV built-in magnetic isolation protection, helping support stable communication in electrically demanding environments. Serial transmission supports baud rates from 50 bps to 921.6 kbps, including non-standard baud rates, giving the device flexibility across a broad range of existing serial equipment.
The NPort 5610-8-DT-G2-T supports common serial networking modes such as Real COM, TCP Server, TCP Client, UDP, RFC2217 and Pair Connection, as well as secure operation modes for encrypted serial communication. Security features include Secure Boot, HTTPS, SNMPv3, role-based access control, a true random number generator and strong encryption support. These capabilities make the unit suitable for systems where remote access and operational security are important.
For easier deployment and maintenance, the device includes one-click log collection and application analysis, helping engineers diagnose communication issues more efficiently. It also includes a built-in watchdog timer, real-time clock and buzzer for reliability and alerting. With 12 to 48 VDC power input, reverse polarity protection, metal housing and support for -40°C to 75°C operation, the NPort 5610-8-DT-G2-T is a robust choice for wide-temperature RS-232 networking.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
