The NPort 5650I-8-DT-G2 is an 8-port isolated serial device server designed for RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485 devices that need secure and reliable Ethernet connectivity. RS-485 deployments benefit from automatic data direction control, optional 120 ohm termination and configurable pull high/low resistance.

The device supports standard operating modes such as Real COM, TCP Server, TCP Client, UDP, RFC2217 and Pair Connection, plus secure operation modes for encrypted data transmission. Security features include Secure Boot, HTTPS, SNMPv3, local database authentication with role-based access control and encryption support. One-click log collection and application analysis simplify troubleshooting, while the built-in watchdog timer, real-time clock and buzzer support maintainability. With a metal housing, 12 to 48 VDC input, reverse polarity protection and -10°C to 60°C operation, this model is a strong choice for isolated serial networking in standard temperature applications.
