The MOXA NPort 6610-8-2AC-G2 is an 8-port RS-232 secure terminal server designed for users who want the same compact RS-232 serial networking capability as the standard 8-port 6610 model, but with the added convenience of a dual-AC power-cable configuration. In the ordering table, this SKU is differentiated by the inclusion of 2 power cables rather than 1, while retaining the same 8 RS-232 ports, 2 x Gigabit Ethernet ports, and -10 to 60°C operating temperature as the standard model. This makes it a smart fit for projects that need straightforward regional deployment, easier spares handling, or standardisation around dual power-cord packaging in rack environments. The 6610-8-2AC-G2 still sits within the secure NPort G2 platform, so it is not simply a basic serial hub. It brings secure terminal server functionality to older serial equipment and supports encrypted communications, authenticated access, and trusted boot behaviour for industrial networks where cyber resilience matters as much as connectivity.
This model is particularly suitable for industrial automation panels, plant monitoring systems, console access applications, utility communication rooms, and transport control cabinets where a smaller number of RS-232 devices must be networked securely. Compared with the standard NPort 6610-8-G2, the core serial and Ethernet performance is the same, but the dual-AC packaging distinction can make deployment more convenient for some integrators or regional projects. Compared with any NPort 6650 variant, it remains an RS-232-only model, so it is best used when all connected equipment uses RS-232 and no RS-422 or RS-485 support is required. Like the rest of the family, it supports TLS, SSH, SNMPv3, Secure Boot, RADIUS, TACACS+, one-click log collection, and application analysis, all backed by IEC 62443-4-2 Security Level 2 certification. It also benefits from industrial approvals including NEMA TS2 and IEC/UL/EN 62368-1, helping position it for secure, standards-aware deployments in control rooms and industrial network racks.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
