The MOXA NPort 6650-16-2AC-G2-T is a 16-port wide-temperature RS-232/422/485 secure terminal server for industrial users that need a medium port count, harsh-environment resilience, and the deployment convenience of the 2AC package variant. It is a strong choice for outdoor automation systems, harsh utility sites, transport cabinets, trackside infrastructure, remote monitoring stations, and industrial edge enclosures where mixed serial standards are common and network security is increasingly important. The combination of 16 ports, -40 to 75°C operation, and 2 included power cables makes it particularly attractive for rugged rack deployments that sit between compact edge use and large centralised serial aggregation.
This model differs from the 6650-16-G2-T mainly through the 2AC package configuration, while retaining the same broad serial flexibility and rugged performance. Compared with the 6650-8-2AC-G2-T, it supports twice the number of endpoints. Compared with the 6650-32-2AC-G2-T, it is better suited to medium-sized installations that do not need the highest port density. It continues to benefit from the G2 family’s cyber-security design, including Secure Boot, TLS 1.2/1.3, SSHv2, SNMPv3, RADIUS, TACACS+, and IEC 62443-4-2 Security Level 2 certification, which help legacy serial networks fit more cleanly into modern industrial cyber-security policies. With dual Gigabit Ethernet, application analysis, and tools that simplify commissioning and support, the NPort 6650-16-2AC-G2-T is well suited to secure industrial networking projects where temperature extremes and mixed serial standards must both be handled reliably.
